Anti-Aging

Aging is a gradual and natural process of physiological and biological changes in all organ functions.

Aging is inevitable but with the development in science, looking aged can still be controlled.

Aging can be at different levels but the kind that primarily affects the skin and appearance is Micro-aging.

After the age of 20 years, there is a decrease of 1% in Collagen production in the skin every year. So as you age, the skin becomes more and more lax and prone to sagging.

There are a few things that can speed up the aging process. these are:

  • UV Radiation- The more your skin is exposed to UV rays of Sun without the protection of sunscreen, the faster you will age.

  • Eating habits- You are what you eat. Unhealthy eating habits can harm the skin as well as speed up the aging process.

  • Smoking & Alcohol consumption- Constant exposure to free radicals due to smoking and drinking can cause free radical damage.

  • Pollution & Lack of sleep- Sleep is more important than it receives credit for. Having adequate sleep every day can keep the skin healthy.

  • Weight loss- Losing weight faster can cause the skin to sag especially when it is due to a calorie-restricted diet.

  • Genetics.

When it comes to aging many surgical, as well as non-surgical options, are available in the market. Depending upon the cause and extent of aging, the treatment is devised. One of the all-time favourite non-surgical procedure is NARF i.e. Non-Ablative Radio Frequency. This stimulates the production of collagen in the skin resulting in tighter-looking skin.

Another option is Micro-needling, which again works on the same principle of increased collagen synthesis.

Apart from these many other options are also available.
