Hyperpigmentation
Hyperpigmentation is a common condition that makes some areas of the skin darker than others. “Hyper” means more, and “pigment” means color.
Hyperpigmentation can appear as brown, black, gray, red, or pink spots or patches. They can be in the form of Freckles, Melasma , Sunspots, Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH), etc.
A common cause of hyperpigmentation is an excess production of melanin. Melanin is a pigment that gives skin its color. It’s produced by skin cells called melanocytes. Several different conditions or factors can alter the production of melanin in your body.
There are multiple ways by which Hyperpigmentation can be treated; like Chemical peels, Lasers , etc.
Chemical Peels help to lighten the hyperpigmentation and when followed by a good face care routine it can clear the skin.
Laser on the other hand targets the specific melanocytes and breaks them down resulting in clear skin.
It has been successfully used since decades for all forms of Hyperpigmentations.
